The civic engagement website, 247townhall.org, will webcast a national dialogue about alleviating poverty in America Friday, June 22, at noon EST. Thomas Shapiro, director of the Institute on Assets and Social Policy at The Heller School at Brandeis, and a national expert on asset building, will participate in the discussion. Community members, other policy experts, and public officials will participate, including Senator Hillary Clinton and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who will join by video.

The discussion will be hosted live in New Orleans and will be joined by guests in Atlanta, Georgia, Portland, Oregon, and a national audience via the web portal.
