M.B.A The MBA prepares managers for leadership positions in organizations pursuing social missions including nonprofit, public, and for-profit sectors. Heller M.B.A. students master the full range of management skills required to lead a viable organization. In addition, they learn the distinctive challenges of managing organizations, including how to conduct a "social accounting" of outcomes aimed at achieving a desired social mission, and how to balance that mission against the financial constraints facing that organization. The M.B.A. concentration in Sustainable Development is designed to educate individuals who will take on leadership or create innovative and effective organizations in domestic or international development. Courses in the main MBA program are complemented by offerings from the Programs in Sustainable International Development. The MBA has 12 management courses and one management elective. The SD concentration includes 2 required courses and 2 electives. |
